We support various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, with the objective of raising living standards in areas where our employees live and work, as well as those of farmers from whom we source our tobacco. Each CSR initiative is designed to exert a direct and sustainable impact on beneficiaries.
Our CSR initiatives are consolidated under the banner of “Sampoerna Untuk Indonesia” (Sampoerna for Indonesia). For Sampoerna, investing in the welfare of society at large is of equal importance to investing in the future of our business.
This approach drives our CSR and contributions programs, with focus on Economic Opportunity, Empowering Women, Disaster Relief and Preparedness, and Access to Education, as well as other social responsibility activities conducted by our Company.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
Sampoerna is committed to supporting the Government of Indonesia in encouraging sustainable investments. As one of the leading tobacco companies in Indonesia, Sampoerna continues to innovate in order to increase the competitiveness of the national agro-industry sector through a partnership program.
We proactively contribute in advancing the Good Agricultural Practices and Agricultural Labor Practices. Among our initiatives is to continue working together with our suppliers and partners in eliminating all forms of child labors and to further improve the environmental conditions and tobacco crop sustainability where we operate.
Sampoerna has adopted PMI's Code of Conduct, known as the Guidebook for Success, which applies to the Board of Commissioners, Directors, and all employees.
The Code of Conduct integrates all elements of the Sampoerna governance program, and is a hallmark of Sampoerna's corporate culture at every level of the organization.
