Sampoerna Wins First Place in Indonesia's Top Employer in 2021

Jakarta, February 2021 - PT HM Sampoerna Tbk. (Sampoerna) for the fourth time won the Top Employer Indonesia 2021 certification from the Top Employer Institute. On the other hand, as an affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI), Sampoerna was also named Top Employer Asia Pacific 2021 from the same institution. Sitting in first place among companies that receive similar recognition is a testament to Sampoerna's commitment to creating an environment and adopting an inclusive and innovative way of developing every employee.

Sampoerna's President Director, Mindaugas Triumpaitis, said that the award was an important achievement. "In the midst of a situation full of challenges, receiving this prestigious certification through a comprehensive assessment process is an honor as well as a motivation for us to continue to help improve the quality of human resources so that they can continue to contribute to the company, society and the nation," said Mindaugas.

David Plink, Chief Executive Officer of the Top Employers Institute, said that in addition to the adverse impact on the global health system and economy, businesses face significant hurdles in supporting their employees to adapt to new working ways. "In our assessment, companies that are certified as Top Employers place their employees as a priority during this crisis period. They respond and adapt quickly to situations that are always changing," concluded David.
