Our adult consumers can be assured that Sampoerna has taken important steps to ensure that our products are not affected by the COVID-19. At the start of the year and during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have implemented additional levels of hygiene protocols not only in all factories, but also in warehouses and our supply chain.
Guided by the recommendation and regulations issued by the government, we have implemented the following additional sanitation protocols as of March:
• Providing and ensuring the use of personal protective equipment such as masks and hand sanitizers;
• Restricting access to production facilities to essential workers;
• Conducting product quarantine to maintain at least 5 (five) days from manufacture until the product reaches the consumer—two days more than the upper end of the range of the environmental stability of COVID-19, as advised by the World Health Organization and the European CDC
In addition, it is also important for our adult consumer to follow Government’s recommendations, such as carrying out common hygiene practices including washing hands, covering mouth when coughing/sneezing, and maintaining physical distance, etc.
