Vassilis Gkatzelis

Vassilis Gkatzelis is a Greek citizen, born in Athens on November 15, 1977. He was appointed as Sampoerna’s President Director at the Company's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) on June 9, 2022. He joined PMI in 2003, starting his career in various Marketing and Sales roles in Greece and the Czech Republic. In 2012, he moved to PMI’s Global Operating Center in Switzerland, serving as the Director Sales Strategy for Asia and the EU Regions. Since 2014, he has undertaken General Management roles of increased accountabilities across geographies, including General Manager Philip Morris Morocco (2014-2016), Managing Director Philip Morris Egypt (2016-2017), and Managing Director Philip Morris Egypt & Levant Cluster (2018-2022). Vassilis holds a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD and a Diploma in Non-Executive Director from the Financial Times in the UK. He is also a graduate of the Athens University of Economics and Business, where he completed his bachelor's and master's degrees in Management.

Ivan Cahyadi became Sampoerna’s Director in 2016, responsible for sales. Born in Semarang, he joined Sampoerna in 1996 as a management trainee and progressed through various strategic positions in the company. In 2009, he worked with a PMI affiliate in Malaysia as Director of Sales and Distribution, before returning to Sampoerna as Head of Sales Zone and eventually appointed as a member of the Board of Directors. He holds a bachelor degree in economics from the University of Surabaya.

Elvira Lianita

Elvira Lianita became Sampoerna’s Director in 2018, being responsible for external affairs. Surabaya-born, she first joined PMI Indonesia in 2001 prior to joining Sampoerna in 2007. She has assumed various important responsibilities in the fields of regulation, fiscal, international trade, and communications before finally being appointed as a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining PMI, she has had extensive experience in professional communications and consulting institutions and has participated in various training and development programs in many countries during her professional career.
Sharmen Karthigasu

Sharmen Karthigasu

DIRECTOR

Sharmen Karthigasu became Sampoerna’s Director in 2019, responsible for finance. A Malaysian citizen, he has nearly 30 years of professional experience. He started his career as a finance executive in Yano Electronics in Malaysia in 1992 and joined PMI in Malaysia in 1995. He progressed through several key finance and planning positions in PMI affiliates including Finance Controller in Indonesia, Director Finance, Planning and IS in Malaysia, and Vice-President Finance and Planning South and South-east Asia in PMI Asia Regional Headquarter in Hong Kong. He holds a bachelor degree in accounting from Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia.
Sergio Colarusso

Sergio Colarusso

DIRECTOR

Sergio Colarusso became Sampoerna's Director in 2022, responsible for finance. He is a Switzerland citizen and hold a master’s degree in Finance from HEC Lausanne (the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne). He has more than 25 years of professional work experience in various finance roles, and he is an expert in Financial Strategy, Corporate Business Planning & Development, Budgeting & Reporting and Internal Audit. He joined PMI in 2002 and has built his career by holding various important roles such as Strategic Planning and Business Development manager before taking on higher responsibilities as Director of Finance in several affiliates in Europe, the Middle East, and now Indonesia.
Johan Bink

Johan Bink

DIRECTOR

Johan Bink was appointed as Sampoerna’s Director in 2023. He previously served as Manufacturing Director at Papastratos S.A., an affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI) located in Athens, Greece. Johan has more than 33 years of experience in supply chain management and production planning. In 1990, he started his professional journey at PMI and carried out various responsibilities in the operational and engineering fields. From 1994 to 2002, Johan worked for a US company specializing in food and pet food products. In 2002, he returned to PMI and served as Maintenance & Engineering Manager for Philip Morris Holland B.V. in Bergen op Zoom, Netherlands. Before serving as Manufacturing Director in Greece, he was assigned to Lithuania and Russia.

Gunnar Beckers

DIRECTOR

Gunnar Beckers was appointed as Sampoerna’s Director in 2023. He joined Philip Morris International (PMI) in Germany back in 2005 as a Brand Executive and rapidly progressed through several positions of increasing responsibilities in Brand Management. In 2010, Gunnar moved to PMI Global Services in the United States of America as Manager Marketing and in 2014, he became Marlboro’s Manager Marketing in Brazil. Afterward, Gunnar moved to Indonesia in 2016 and was appointed as Head of Brand Management International Brands for Sampoerna. In 2019, Gunnar was relocated to Lausanne as a Global Head of Projects – Consumer Experience, followed by his most recent role as Global Head Consumer Experience CC.

Andre Dahan

Andre Dahan is a Lebanese citizen, born in Beirut on 10 July 1969. He was appointed as Sampoerna’s Director by the AGMS on 18 January 2024. He joined Philip Morris Switzerland in 2003 as Manager Product & Marketing Innovation and progressing through several key positions in marketing at PMI affiliates in Poland as Manager Marketing (2004-2006), in Hungary as Director Marketing (2006-2008), in the Czech Republic as Director Marketing (2008-2010), in Russia as Vice President Value Segment Brands and Consumer Activation (2011-2013), in Indonesia as Director Marketing (2013-2017), in Switzerland as Vice President Reduce Risk Product Global (2017- 2021) and Vice President LMIC (2022-2023), building 23 years of experience in the industry. He earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, Paris, France, and his Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Economics from L’Université Paris-Sorbonne, Paris, France.
