PMI’s shift from selling cigarettes to our new smoke-free products has changed the way we work. New products bring new challenges – in the way we source and buy raw materials, in the way we engineer and manufacture, and in our supply chain planning. As a Field Engineering Lead you will be part of our Engineering Solutions team for Philip Morris Manufacturing Technologies Bologna S.p.A. and will be reporting to the Field Engineering Manager. In your role you will develop, along industrialization projects in which you are involved, the knowledge about product, process, machinery and organization, with the purpose to build the set of records that will allow the knowledge sharing with stakeholders. You will also drive the analysis of project performances and process improvements in terms of safety, quality, cost, productivity, waste and work organization. Specific Responsibilities: • Act in conformity with Compliance and Integrity principles, promoting compliance culture; • Comply with all EHS&S policies and procedures effective in our site. Actively participate into improvement actions that reduce environmental impact and increase all employees' safety; • Through daily activity, in support to project execution, develop process and product knowledge that is the base for process stabilization & reliability and transfer this to operational team (manufacturing, quality, supply chain, IS, ...); • Analyze and report main losses in process capability in the project platform in which you operate, and propose countermeasures and support the losses elimination initiatives using project management as well as lean manufacturing principles; • Monitor quality & process KPIs supporting Project Leaders, Quality & Manufacturing organizations in defining achievable standards and operational KPIs, that could be sustainable; • Collaborate with the QA department in analyzing the process and the product, supporting the implementation of quality improvement initiatives; • Actively participate into development of technological process compliance to RRP/GMP standards, thanks to data collecting and analysis, with the purpose to drive the correct setting implementation for expected results. Who we’re looking for: • Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent on-field experience; • Initial experience in Operational environments (experienced as Process Support Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Quality Engineer, Development Engineer, Industrial Engineer, ...); • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes for engineering materials; • Proficiency with office automation tools; • Strong knowledge of lean principles, methodologies and tools; • Knowledge in MS Office Package; • Fluent English and Italian, written and spoken.
